Animal Info

The Black Welsh Mountain sheep is a heritage livestock breed in need of saving. Heritage breeds like this one possess valuable genetics that will be lost if the breed dies out. The Black Welsh Mountain sheep is a small, hardy breed, capable of surviving on low quality pasture and harsh conditions, while still producing a fine, high-quality, pure black wool and premium luxury meat. This breed is also small, attractive, calm, and gentle, making them excellent hobby farm additions and fine pasture pets. We may breed this sheep in the future to help preserve the breed.
